Dance for the Rescues

http://www.dancefortherescues.org/

This is awesome.  Check it out!  They raise money/awareness for at-risk animals and it's just an exhilarating way of being fit, having fun, and raising funds! We should all try to do this near our neighborhood... It's a great effort :) Those who live near that area should definitely try to attend.

Training Animals - Guinea Pigs

Training animals doesn't have to be as complicated as making Sea World killer whales to front flips... Being a "trained pet" can be as simple as making a relationship with its owner, being potty trained, or learning hints to perceive that it's food time!  Animals can be very smart, and they can learn from right and wrong from how you react! (treat or no treats)

Here's a guinea pig we love...And I guess you could say she's "trained" to do gymnastics --- Well, that is ANYTHING for mint leaves! :)

Farley the panda

Farley, a red panda, lives in the San Diego Zoo. Watch this video to learn more! Red pandas like to eat bamboo, fruits, acorns, roots, and eggs. They are an endangered species, found only in the mountains of Nepal and central China, due to deforestation. Let's lend a paw, like these vets, to try to rescue such animals!

Pandas

Pandas are mammals. They are shy animals.
Pandas are an endangered species, and they only live in Asia now. Scientists have found out that there is a baby boom, and panda's might not be endangered anymore! Chinese are currently making bamboo forests, so that pandas can have a safer habbitat.
Pandas live in forests.
Their favorite food is bamboo because they eat about 30 pounds of it a day.
Other foods they eat are leaves, grass, and sometimes birds and rodents.
