American White-Tailed Deer

AMERICAN WHITE-TAILED DEER:
White-tailed deer, the smallest of North American deer, are herbivores, and are mainly found leisurely grazing on plants, fruits, nuts, and twigs. White-tailed deer are nocturnal and crepuscural. "White tailed" refers to the underside of a deer's tail, which it displays in fear of danger.  They use speed to outrun their predators, sprinting up to 30 mph and leaping as high as 10 feet, as far as 30 feet in a single bound.

But......not exactly when they're eating those flowers you just bought for fifty bucks, right? But, these poor little animals are impoverished. Their forests were depleted, and now they have no food. Check out these websites to learn more about white-tailed deer in your environment.
